Orlando, Fla. — Advent Health Orlando earned the top spot in the state according to U.S. News and World Reports Best Hospital Ranking for 2019-2020.
The teaching hospital located at 601 E. Rollins St., is nationally ranked in 7 adult specialties and 1 pediatric specialty.
U.S News and World Report also rated it as high performing in 4 adult specialties and 9 procedures and conditions.
The report gave the general medical facility four stars out of five for patient experience and gave the nursing staff a very high mark.
The annual report examines 5,000 hospitals across the nation and rates their performance in adult and pediatric clinical specialties, procedures and conditions.
The website says the scores are based on several factors, including survival, patient safety, nurse staffing and more.
Additionally, the report breaks down each facilities specialty from cancer to urology and also reviews common procedures and conditions, such as heart bypass surgery, hip and knee replacement and COPD
Advent Health received the highest marks in Diabetes & Endocrinology ranking 12th in the nation.
It also came in at number 18 in Gastroenterology & GI Surgery and 19th in Nephrology.
It's neonatal unit was ranked 31st in the country.
