An Ocoee police officer is indicted after two officers went to the wrong home and fired their weapons several times through a door, as the owner was standing on the other side.

No one was hurt, but officer Carlos Anglero is charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling.

The other officer, Stephanie Roberts, was fired, according to Ocoee police.

The police chief made this statement to WFTV: “The City of Ocoee Police Department has been made aware of the State Attorney’s Office indictment of Carlos Anglero. As chief of police for the City of Ocoee, I hold my officers to the highest ethical standards. Based on the indictment, Carlos Anglero has been placed on administrative leave without pay until the criminal charges and the internal complaint have been resolved. As an organization, the City of Ocoee Police Department has cooperated with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s investigation and will continue to cooperate with the State Attorney’ Office.”

The homeowner told WFTV that the officers never identified themselves as police.

Dispatchers sent the officers to the wrong home, according to WFTV.
