Orlando police honor officers for outstanding efforts in community outreach

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The key highlight from the past year is the collective of valuable insights into the department that helped reduce crime within the City of Orlando.

These figures show a broad perspective into the department’s activities, including calls for service, crime trends, seizures, arrests, and other efforts that contribute to maintaining Orlando as a safe and livable community.

  • Responded to 757,799 Calls
  • 18% Decrease in Overall Crime
  • 10% Decrease in Violent Crime
  • Seized 1,340 Illegal Guns
  • 196 of them were seized in downtown Orlando

  • Conducted 68,250 Traffic Stops
  • Added 159 New Officers
  • Invested 20,000+ Training Hours
