Orlando, Fla. — The Orlando Fire Department wants you to know that if you happen to be near the Orlando Executive Airport Tuesday morning, that you should not be concerned about the increase presence of emergency cars there. It is all part of a multi-agency full scale training exercise that they will be conducting.
The four hour training session will be conducted by the Orlando Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team along with a variety of agencies, including the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, and the UCF Emergency Management team. This training will be used to evaluate all of the agencies performances in a all hands on deck type of scenario with a focus on chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive hazards. However, the exact scenario they will go through will not be revealed until the day of in order to monitor the success of the exercise.
The environment for the training will be controlled as to not cause any threat to the lives and properties of residents in Orlando.
