A 12-year-old Glenridge Middle School student has been arrested, accused of taking two handguns to school on Monday.
Orlando police said that around noon, a school resource officer was told that a student had a gun at the school.
Police said the student was detained, and two guns were found in his backpack.
According to police, a fully-loaded MAC-10 and a .380-caliber handgun were found.
Police said they don't believe the seventh-grade student intended to harm anyone and that he had had no previous problems.
The student was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center and is charged with possession of a firearm on school property.
Police said no students or faculty were in danger.
