Police: Man's body found in Kissimmee home

A homicide investigation is underway after a man's body was found Wednesday evening in a home, the Kissimmee Police Department said.

Officers were called out at about 8:30 p.m. to a home on Jessa Drive in the Marisol at Lakeside subdivision near Simpson and Fortune roads, Kissimmee police Lt. Camille Alicea said.

Officers found a man's body in the home, Alicea said.

The man's identity wasn't immediately released.

Neighbor Carlos Ramirez said he and a friend were leaving to go to a gas station when he saw a woman with a child and a dog come out of a home screaming.

"She was really paranoid and scared," Ramirez said. "She started yelling for help, so we obviously stopped. We were concerned. We don't know the situation -- how bad it is -- but we see somebody yelling for help, so we stop."

The death remains under investigation.

No other details were given.
