Orlando, Fla. — A tragic day at the Most Magical Place on Earth at Walt Disney World confirms that a runner died during Friday's Fall Feast 5K. The event is part of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
According to WDWNT, Disney has not offered any details on the victim's identity, age, or cause of death. However, a spokesperson issued a statement: " We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts and sympathies remain with the runner's family and loved ones throughout this difficult time."
Despite this incident, Saturday's Wine & Dine 10K took place as scheduled, and the Half Marathon scheduled for Sunday is also expected to proceed as planned.
