Orlando,Fla. — Television and radio superstar Ryan Seacrest is bringing his 'Seacrest Studio' to Orlando Health's Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
The hospital will be the 11th in the nation, and the only one in Florida, to have the studio designed to make the patients the stars and try to take their minds off their medical problems - for at least a moment.
“It’s a place where patients truly get to be a star and forget about their medical treatments and procedures,” Seacrest said.
Seacrest made the announcement Thursday on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan.
The hospital also announced the partnership with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation saying it “will enable us to support our patients’ creative and artistic needs through radio, television and new media.”
The studio will be approximately 1,200-square-foot and will be enclose in glass on the first floor of the hospital by the main atrium which will allow patients and visitors to see production activities inside.
“Our studio staff will include full-time team members, who love television, radio and new media as much as our patients do, “ the announcement said.
Patients can take part in broadcasts or watch from their room on the hospital’s closed-circuit television channel.
The Seacrest Studio is expected to be available for use in the summer of 2020.
