Sheriff's Pink Patrol fighting cancer in Seminole County

Seminole County Sheriff's Office now patrols in pink.
“So many of us have been touched by cancer --at our agency and in our community,” said Sheriff Donald F. Eslinger.   “This vehicle is a mobile statement of support from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and we’re proud to show that we care about this cause.”
During the month of October, the pink patrol car will make appearances at a variety of cancer awareness events and community gatherings, starting with its first public appearance on Sunday at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the University of Central Florida.
The vehicle will be driven by deputies, investigators, and other sworn personnel as they travel throughout the county carrying out their daily duties. The 2013 Ford Interceptor is outfitted with a complete law enforcement  package and was borrowed from the Sheriff’s Office existing fleet.
The public is encouraged tweet photos of the car as they spot it and send to @SeminoleSO with the hash tag #pinkpatrol.
Organizations interested in having the pink patrol car attend their event can contact SCSO’s Public Affairs Division at 407-665-6650.
