This weekend is the soft-opening for Lake Nona's new shipping container food call called Boxi Park, which will feature food, drinks and live entertainment.
The facility is 30,000 square feet and features restaurants in 12 chipping containers, a playground, dog park, beer garden and volleyball court.
It's located at 6677 Tavistock Lakes Blvd and will be open Friday through Sunday with live entertainment throughout. On Friday and Saturday, Boxi Park will be open to the public from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Sunday it will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Thursday there will be an "exclusive sneak peek" with live entertainment (featuring News 96.5 WDBO's Gene Wexler's acoustic band).
