The company shared video of an empty Spaceship Neptune as it floated up beneath a giant space balloon meant to carry tourists 100,000 feet above the earth.
However, as court documents show, the startup is now facing litigation; the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority says the company owes more than $90,000 in base rent.
According to the complaint, the company could be evicted from its office at Space Coast Regional Airport.

In a written statement, the company told Eyewitness News, “Space Perspective achieved significant milestones in 2024, including successfully launching our first demonstration flight, proving we can build, launch, and safely fly our capsule and balloon.
As Space Perspective works to close additional funding like many other startups, new skill sets are required to help the company achieve new milestones, including manned test flights, and position ourselves for a new stage of growth.
Leadership is grateful for those who have been on this journey with us and for new team members who will be critical to achieving this next phase.” We reached out to the attorney for Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority and were told the office does not comment on pending litigation.
