Super strains of 'super head lice' spread: What you need to know

We have known about them for about 8 years, and they are back once again with a vengeance just in time for the new school year.

They are super strains of super head lice that have become immune to the pesticides that are found in traditional treatments.

A study by the Journal of Medical Entomology finds that super lice are resistant to just about every over the counter treatment.

So what is a parent to do?  Scientists at the CDC say that the lice can still be controlled, and they recommend a visit to your pediatrician for other treatments.  Doctors say that there are chemicals that may work, but are available only by a prescription.
