Two OPD officers recover after attack from man with brick

Orlando, Fla. — Two Orlando police officers are recovering after the department says they were attacked in downtown Orlando Saturday morning by a man with a brick.

They say the officers were standing at the corner of Washington and Magnolia when 27 year old William McClish hid behind a car and then attacked them from behind without warning. They say one officer has a broken nose and the other had some fingers and biceps bitten and nearly had his left eye gouged out.

Other officers quickly responded and took McClish into custody, who faces multiple charges, including attempted first degree murder of a law enforcement officer with a weapon.

A statement from the department also says McClish had set up a camera to livestream the attack on Facebook. You can see video of the attack here.
