Volusia Co. investigation busts meth lab

Four arrested from home in South Daytona Beach

South Daytona Beach police say a three month investigation has resulted in the discovery of a methamphetamine lab on New York Avenue. And one so dangerous, police say, a SWAT team couldn't even go inside and ordered people to exit one at a time.

Investigators believe the residents in the home were also dealing meth from the lab, described as moderately sized, which also contained meth oil.

Numerous complaints of thefts from neighbors and unusually high traffic in the area prompted the investigation and subsequent raid.

The names of four people arrested were not released. We are told one is a convicted sex offender.
