WATCH: Dump truck takes out highway sign

HOUSTON, TEXAS — A shocking new video shows the moment the bed of a dump truck smashes into an overhead highway sign, completely knocking it down.

According to ABC13, this happened in the northbound lanes of the East Loop in Houston, Texas. A witness, Carlos Escobedo, was riding in a car behind the oblivious driver of the 18-wheel dump truck, trying to warn him that the bed wasn't going to clear the sign for Exit 26A. But moments later, the bed and sign collided and twisted metal was all over the lanes.

Escobedo recorded the accident on his cellphone. He posted it to Facebook where it's been viewed over 10 million times. 

It took hours for crews to clean up the mess.

The condition of the driver is unknown.
