South Florida Coast — The video was shared on youtube.com by Seacraftsalem earlier this month.
It shows the fisherman on the boat gearing up and jumping in the water where he is immediately face to face with the shark.
In the post he says, “I basically jumped on this shark (that we were unaware of) and the sucker tried taking a bite out of me. “
Luckily he used his spear to push the beast away and then scrambled back to the boat where, once on board, he muttered some choice words.
The post did not say what kind of shark it was, but we do know dozens of species call the warm waters off the coast of Southern Florida home.
