Marion and Lake County, Fla. — Strong storms dropped heavy rain and brought high winds across Central Florida Sunday.
A massive sinkhole opened up in Summerfield, swallowing a traffic light and causing a crash that seriously injured a 60-year-old man.
The Villages-News reports that the 20 by 35 foot depression is located at the intersection of Baseline and Dogwood Road.

Crews closed the road for hours Sunday, but have reopened two lanes allowing access to a nearby landfill, however motorists should avoid the area if possible.
Meantime, the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down near Lisbon in Lake County, Sunday.

A tornado warning was in effect at the time of the video.
Another twister was spotted over Lake Dora.

The latest warnings were for an area in Volusia County that included Daytona Beach and Ormond beach, it expired at 9 p.m. Sunday night.
