ORLANDO, Fla. — People in Central Florida are waking up Wednesday to a wintery cold and wet morning.

The rain will slow down by mid-to-late Wednesday morning, but the chill will remain.
Strong, northerly winds will continue to push cold air into the area.
Highs for Wednesday afternoon will only climb into the low 50s.
Variable clouds are expected Wednesday night, with some showers possible by daybreak south of Orlando.

Overnight lows into Thursday morning will be in the mid-40s.
Another storm system will impact the area on Thursday, but only scattered showers are expected.
It will remain cool, with highs in the mid-50s.
Drier weather finally returns for Friday, with some sunshine to close the work week.

Temps will remain below average, with highs in the mid-50s.
The coldest night of the stretch will likely be Saturday morning, with temps in the 30s and widespread freeze possible in areas north of Orlando.
A warmer weekend is in store, with highs in the 60s on Saturday and lows in the 70s on Sunday.
