The U.S. Navy released a video of the live sinking of the ex-USS Durham calling it a “realistic training opportunity.”
The Rim Of The Pacific (RIMPAC) international naval exercises are taking place off Hawaii and the training event is smaller this year.
Still, the sinking of a live ship was not scrapped from the drills list.
The target was the ex-USS Durham, a mothballed amphibious cargo ship that was pulled from service in 1994.
At least three anti-cruse ship missiles sent it to a water grave Sunday, the video was shared by the Navy on twitter.
