Orlando airport shuts down its COVID testing sites

Northeast Florida seniors are being targeted as part of a new scam that developed nationally as Medicare benefits for in-home COVID tests ended in May.

As the world continues its efforts to return to pre-pandemic life, Orlando International Airport has done away with something that became commonplace during COVID-19′s reign.

The hub’s COVID testing sites – which were available to passengers and employees -- have been permanently shut down, airport officials have announced.

Despite the lack of testing sites at the airport, the City of Orlando still maintains several throughout the area, officials say.

Passengers who still don’t feel comfortable flying without first being tested should contact the city to learn the locations, per the airport.
