If you plan to bring your dog along with you next time you go shopping at Publix, you might want to find a dog-sitter instead.
Public is posting new signs in its store which states that only service animals trained to help people with disabilities are allowed in the store. This policy has always been in place, but the store reportedly wants to make customers more aware to crack down on any potential people who may try to pass off their pets as "service animals."
Customers who choose to bring service animals into the store must also be aware that they are not allowed to sit or ride in the shopping cars with them.
