Broward County, Fla. — A day after 17 people were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, their names have been released. They all have parents, some have brothers or sisters and all lost their lives simply going to school or work.
Jamie Guttenberg was the first victim to be identified, with her parents were informed of her death Wednesday night.
Alyssa Alhadeff, 15, her death was confirmed by a family member Thursday.
Alaina Petty, 14, an active church member.
Joaquin Oliver, 17, from Venezuela.
Aaron Feis, an assistant football coach and security guard is being hailed as a hero for sacrificing his life to save a student during the shootings.
Martin Duque a 14 year old freshman and a brother.
Meadow Pollack was a senior, just months away from graduation.
Cara Loughran a freshman.
Nicholas Dworet a senior, he had a girlfriend and is a member of a swim team.
Gina Montalto was a freshman and a member of the color guard.
Scott Beigel, 35, was a Social Science teacher and coached the cross country team.
Chris Hixon, served as the school's athletic director and wrestling coach.
Luke Hoyer, 15, according to his friends died in the school.
