Fictional characters generally don’t need saving in real life.

The Texas Department of Public Safety got attention on Friday (January 29th) after it accidentally issued AMBER Alerts for two characters from the Child’s Play film franchise.

The alerts included the murderous doll, Chucky, and his son, Glen Ray.

Glen was described as having a blue shirt and black collar while Chucky was described as wearing “blue denim overalls with multi-colored striped long sleeve shirt” and “wielding a huge kitchen knife.”

The DPS revealed it was testing out its server when it accidentally made the faux alerts public, but it also assured the public the number on the flyers doesn’t work.
