A baby is on the way for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and fiancée Brittany Matthews, the couple said Tuesday.
According to the Kansas City Star, the high school sweethearts, who are now both 25, took to Instagram to announce the news.
“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews captioned two photos of the pair holding a sonogram.
In his own post, Mahomes shared a similar photo, captioned with a heart emoji.
The couple got engaged Sept. 1, according to a post on Matthews' Instagram page.
