Watch: Florida panther battle broken up by -a wild boar

Ockechobee, Fla. — A Florida man captured video of two Florida panthers in a viscous battle, an amazing video for sure, but this is one of those "wait for it" moments!

The angry cat fight was interrupted by a 250-pound wild boar.

The video was shot by Andres Pis on March 31 as he and his sons were hunting wild turkey southwest of Lake Okeechobee near Clewiston.

He told reporters he caught sight of the first panther after a gang of crows swarmed near his campsite.

A second cat emerged as Pis was grabbing his camera.

As he recorded the battle between the two seldom seen large cats, a heard of wild boar came running into the scene.

Pis told CBSMiami that one of the boars was "hell-bent on settling some old-scores," and ran right into the fight.

He said the boar quite possibly saved the younger cats life.

The Panthers of South Florida Facebook page shared the video with the statement, "To the best of our knowledge it is the first time in recorded history that such an event was captured on film."
